As part of the “Grand Carénage” -an industrial program to repair and upgrade components from existing Nuclear Power Plants- EDF approved in 2013 the construction of BAMAS, an area dedicated to store and fix equipment during the outage of NPPs.
This facility can be adapted according to the maintenance needs of the equipment into 2:
- A reception hall and container storage
- A hot cell installation
Cyclife France assisted EDF from the construction and the commissioning to the servicing of BAMAS. For 2 years, Cyclife France managed this installation classified for environmental protection (ICPE).
Challenges
- Setting up the design-build contract with the customer
- Carry out the programming of the contract
- Assisting EDF during the tendering phase
- Supporting during the basic and detailed design and the construction phases
- Managing the maintenance facility
